Chief Executive Officer
Mack McClung
Founded in 1995 by Mack McClung and JD Eatherly, Vastland Company is a privately held real estate company in Tennessee. This innovative company embraces luxury while keeping affordability in mind, creating a one-of-a-kind result. McClung has developed real-estate value in excess of $2.5 billion and has become the sole owner of an extensive portfolio including industrial, retail, mixed use, residential, land development, office, multifamily, and hospitality assets.
McClung has created and developed more than 6,000 homesites and built more than 2,500 homes. In addition, he has developed and owns and manages more than 1 million S.F. of commercial space in the Nashville market. Vastland has been delivering curated projects in Nashville that exceed expectations — each marked by classically designed architecture, lush landscaping, and devotion to detail. With a reputation for quality, dependability, and customer service, Vastland has garnered the respect of the real estate development industry, tenants, guests, and home buyers alike.
Senior Vice President
Ryan Keane
Ryan Keane joined the Vastland Team Fall of ’20 after a 22-year career with McHugh Construction Co. His experience includes responsibility for over $1B worth of construction projects ranging from High-end hotel renovations (Ritz Carlton – Chicago) to several 45-story plus mixed-use buildings including the famed 88-story Aqua Building (Chicago). Mr. Keane has most recently completed Kenect, 2010 West End and SoBro Apartments buildings located in Nashville, TN. Mr. Keane oversees Vastland’s Commercial Construction including VOCE – a 25-story apartment/hotel.
Principal Broker/ Director of Sales and Marketing
Christy Frewin
Christy Frewin is a highly respected real estate broker, a seasoned professional in the world of house flipping, and holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Instructional Leadership. With a wealth of education, experience, and expertise, she specializes in training other agents, art of negotiations, educating buyers/sellers on investing, and transforming properties into profitable investments. Recognized as a leading authority in the field and fueled by her genuine passion and dedication to her craft, she has developed a deep understanding of the intricacies and unique aspects of new construction sales as well as pre-existing home sales. Her comprehensive knowledge of the latest trends in architecture, design, and technology enables her to effectively match clients with the home to best fit their needs. Her exceptional communication skills and client-centric approach have earned her a reputation for providing a seamless and personalized experience throughout the entire buying process. She is also highly skilled in innovative marketing, advertising, and market insights. Sal Simonetti
Sal Simonetti is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the residential construction industry. With a passion for creating beautiful and functional living spaces, Sal has dedicated his career to transforming houses into homes. Mr. Simonetti joined the Vastland Team in the spring of 23, Mr. Simonetti developed a deep appreciation for the craftsmanship and attention to detail required in the construction field from his 25-year career. Over the years, Mr. Simonetti has successfully managed numerous construction projects, ranging from small 150 single family communities to large-scale 3000-unit mixed use including golf courses. What sets Mr. Simonetti apart is his unwavering commitment to his teams’ satisfaction. He believes in establishing strong relationships with his team, understanding their unique needs, and consistently delivering exceptional results. Whether collaborating with homeowners, architects, or subcontractors, Mr. Simonetti ensures that everyone involved in the project is on the same page, fostering a harmonious and efficient construction process. Mr. Simonetti oversees Vastland’s Residential Construction Division as the Division Manager.
Vice President of Architecture
Chuck Leisure
Chuck Leisure is the Vice President of Architecture for Vastland bringing over 28 years of experience. Chuck attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where he received a degree in architecture. His diverse work history of Architectural, Engineering and Construction offices helping him to understand the industry as a whole.
Executive Operations | Paralegal
Mary Alice Espinosa
Born and raised in Knoxville, Mary Alice obtained her bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in human resource management from the University of Tennessee. Mary Alice is a licensed real estate broker. With a commitment to driving operational excellence, Mary Alice brings functional knowledge to multiple practice areas, including operations management, legal administration, human resource management, organizational health, corporate governance, commercial transactions, due diligence, and contract and lease administration. Outside of work, she treasures time spent with her family and serves as a board member for an international hybrid church.
Interior Designer
Emily Glass
Emily Glass, a Tennessee native and 2022 summa cum laude graduate of Middle Tennessee State University’s interior design program, is making waves as Vastland’s dynamic Interior Designer. Emily’s passion for transforming spaces was cultivated through MTSU’s accredited program and her ASID membership. With an ambitious spirit, she delved into the realm of luxury furniture sales at RH in Nashville, TN, just two days after receiving her diploma. During this experience, she had the opportunity to connect with Mack McClung and discovered the distinctive offerings of Vastland. In August of 2023, Emily eagerly embraced the chance to contribute her innovation and creativity to the Vastland team. She is committed to creating unique and functional spaces to further distinguish the Vastland brand.
Head of Design
Caleigh McClung
Head of Design, Caleigh McClung, works closely with her team to curate practical, elegant and efficient homes for our buyers. She recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Samford University, with a concentration in finance and marketing. As a Nashville native, Caleigh is able to pinpoint and create the needs and wants of Nashville homebuyers.
Controller
Bobbi Nalley
Bobbi Nalley holds the position of Controller at Vastland Companies and has worked in the accounting field for over 20 years. Before joining the Vastland team in 2010, she was accounting manager at a local property management company. Bobbi earned a Bachelor of Science degree from MTSU. On her time off, she enjoys spending time with her family in Spring Hill, Tennessee.
Commercial Real Estate
Jamie Lane
Jamie is a Georgia native and a true jack of all trades. She has her BFA in photographic imaging, and is a renowned choreographer whose work can be seen in numerous music videos, tours, movies and commercials. She has a strong sports entertainment background producing halftime shows, managing team, and game day coordination for the NFL, NBA, and the NHL including our Nashville Predators. Jamie is also a licensed event planner who has produced hundreds of corporate and private events with clients such as AFLAC, IBM, and Coca-Cola. Jamie shifted her focus to commercial real estate hanging her license with Freeman Webb then making her way to Vastland to undergo a 3 year immersion study under the direction of Mack McClung. She is now Vastland’s commercial real estate leasing specialist.
Public and Government Relations
Ken Renner
Ken Renner has more than 25 years of experience working with Vastland and Nashville’s development community on a wide variety of planning, zoning and land use issues. A registered lobbyist with a broad range of contacts in Nashville and surrounding communities, Renner is also an investor. Before joining Vastland in 2008, Renner spent 30 years in Nashville as a journalist, government official, government relations specialist and marketing communication professional.
